Nazareno Anaglyphs

For six years, photographer Jake Verzosa has been documenting the Feast of the Black Nazarene, the largest and one of the most spectacular religious events to take place in the Philippines. People from all walks of life come to Quiapo to congregate with fortune tellers, prophets and priests to fulfill their vow, pray for good health and good luck. For 2010, he uses a stereo camera to capture the stories surrounding the event that attracts thousands of devotees annually. The photographs aim to show that the event itself is a reflection of Filipino faith and how much of which is left to fate.
